If you have a document that requires your signature to be notarized or commissioned, it means that you have to appear before a Notary Public or a Commissioner of Oaths, who will witness your signature.

As a Notary Public and a Commissioner of Oaths, I offer the following services:

Requirements For Having a Document Notarized or Commissioned

1. If you are the person who is required to sign the document, do not sign it until you are present before me. I cannot notarize or commission a document unless the person signing it appears before me in person.

2. Valid identification is required for each person signing the document (valid ID means Canadian identification that has a photo, a signature and that has not expired).

3. The document must be in English.

4. If a copy is required, it is your responsibility to provide the copy.

5. I do not provide legal advice on any document being signed.

6. I do not notarize, commission or certify true copies of Wills, Powers of Attorney or documents dealing with Real Estate unless they have been prepared by my office.
